Weiss-Aug, a leader in precision manufacturing, seeks a Stamping Operations Manager at its Elk Grove Village, IL facility. You will oversee the entire stamping operation, provide leadership to staff, and coordinate with multiple departments to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, cost reduction, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in high-volume stamping, strong supervisory skills, and a track record of process optimization.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in metal stamping manufacturing.
• BS degree in engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Strong supervision, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter who works with little supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Team player; interact effectively with all departments.
• Windows-based PC skills (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• ISO/QS/TS knowledge preferred; ERP experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Direct die, automation, and auxiliary equipment priorities; lead daily/weekly meetings.
• Collaborate with QA, Die Repair, Automation, Maintenance, and Warehouse to troubleshoot processes.
• Review and improve departmental documentation and train staff on new procedures.
• Review MO's; advise on variances and closures.
• Set goals for direct reports and develop staff skills.
• Coordinate with Planning and Customer Service for capacity planning and delivery.
• Monitor hours, labor, and purchasing requisitions for the department.
