Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Stamp Operator in Otsego, MN. The role operates an automated cigarette tax-stamping machine, ensuring accuracy and safety while meeting engineered labor standards.

You'll work Mon-Fri starting at 6 am, with 8–10 hour shifts, and benefit from a comprehensive package after 60 days. Qualifications include being at least 18, HS diploma or GED preferred, and basic English literacy for instructions and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, writing and comprehension in English sufficient for safety and work instructions.
• Demonstrates organization and attention to detail to operate stamping equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Feed cigarette cartons through an automated stamping machine and repackage them.
• Identify product and determine appropriate tax stamps.
• Monitor stamp line and machine for smooth operation.
• Report any carton damages to supervision.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and product damage.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The Stamp Operator operates and monitors an automated cigarette tax-stamping machine. Maintaining a sense of urgency, accuracy, and quality of work within engineered labor standards to ensure accurate product and shipments is a must.

• Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour.
• Monday-Friday with a 6 am start time. Shifts will last 8 to 10 hours.

What You’ll Do As a Stamp Operator

• Feed cigarette cartons through an automated machine that stamps, repacks, and returns them to a conveyor.
• Identify product and appropriate tax stamps.
• Monitor the line and stamp machine to ensure smooth operation.
• Report any cigarette package or carton damages.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Warehouse Teammate

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
