Job summary

K+S Services, a SunSource company, seeks a customer-site liaison at a Columbus, GA location to coordinate daily operations and ensure high-quality service. You will manage spare parts, orders, and governance of data while collaborating with maintenance, purchases, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and a hands-on mechanical mindset to improve reliability and drive cost savings for the customer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing and/or maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills – speak clearly, confidently, and professionally.
• Mechanical background and understanding of technical drawings and machinery a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and extensive walking.
• Experience operating a forklift is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly grasp customer software.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build relationships with key plant personnel to provide quality customer service.
• Set up and execute spare parts strategy with customer, focusing on repairs vs. replacing with new.
• Ship, receive, and expedite orders as needed.
• Manage internal STAMP database, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Process repair order approvals daily.
• Oversee and inventory repairable assets.
• Create reports to measure performance vs. corporate metrics.
• Establish regular meeting cadence with plant decision makers.
• Work with customers to improve reliability and cost savings.

This position will serve as the primary liaison between K+S Services and the customer on all day-to-day operations. We’re looking for someone with an inquisitive, can-do attitude, excellent social skills, and strong attention to detail.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and build relationships with key plant personnel from maintenance, purchasing and engineering to provide quality customer service

• Manage internal "STAMP" database, ensuring accuracy and integrity

• Create reports to measure performance against corporate measurables (on-time delivery, cost savings, quality, inventory, warranty, etc.)
• Actively participate in plant-sponsored initiatives, meetings, and activities
• Establish regular meeting cadence with plant decision makers
• Work with the customers to improve their reliability and introduce cost-saving initiatives
• Help solve customer problems and keep industry running!
• Apply 5S workplace principles to all work areas

What We Need from You:

• 5+ years of manufacturing and/or maintenance experience is preferred
• Mechanical background and understanding of technical drawings and machinery is a plus
