HII's Mission Technologies division is in search of a proactive communicator to assist with strategic stakeholder engagement by optimizing the tradeshow experience. As the StakeholderTradeshow Coordinator, you will play an essential role in the HII Mission Technologies Communications team. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with both internal and external stakeholders worldwide, through industry trade shows, conferences, and other significant events that support the federal markets. Your goal will be to create an environment that promotes an understanding of HII and its value to the customer domain and national security. You will work to build valuable partnerships across HII and key communities using a strategic and measurable approach.

This position will be hybrid in the DMV area with reporting to our McLean, VA office at least two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the continuous development and execution of a global stakeholder engagement program to effectively communicate the HII brand at key trade shows and events.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan events/exhibits, align goals, determine objectives and expected ROI.
  • Amplify key content and messaging, manage resources, and orchestrate all elements across the pre- to post-show timelines.
  • Manage pre-event logistics, staffing, budget management, creative implementation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Collaborate with HII's Communications team to create and implement strategic campaigns and alignment across stakeholder engagement program.
  • Develop HII strategic engagement plans with HII counterparts to support streamlined messaging and unified company presence.
  • Build strong and strategic relationships with external vendors, associations, and industry partners.
  • Manage the proposals, contracts and invoices of all vendors, from start to finish.
  • Seek opportunities and take initiative to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes, resource allocation, and any aspects of the stakeholder engagement program.
What you need to have:
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a background in technological marketing and take a central role in demonstrating and highlighting our IT products and solutions within a dynamic demo environment in our exhibits.
  • Possess creative product marketing skills.
  • Background in marketing commercial technology.
  • Understanding of defense and national security markets.
  • Demonstrated successful corporate and/or senior government communications experience.
  • Experience in the trade show management field, including event/exhibit coordination, associations.
  • A track record of managing complex events and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver communications/plans/reports to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Results-focused leader and a strategic thinker.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborate and proactive.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful corporate and/or senior government communications experience.
