Job summary

Southern Staircase, an Edge Building Solutions company, is seeking an experienced Stair Installation & Delivery Technician to join our growing construction team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves transporting stair systems to sites and installing custom staircases for residential and commercial projects.

We require a solid background in carpentry, framing, or woodworking, with the ability to read blueprints and work with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in framing, carpentry, woodworking, or related field.
• Experience operating common carpentry tools (saws, drills, levels, measuring tools).
• Ability to read blueprints and construction layouts.
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Install custom straight, curved, and specialty stair systems at active construction sites.
• Read blueprints, layouts, and project drawings to complete quality installations.
• Measure, trim, level, fasten, and assemble stair components using hand and power tools.
• Safely transport stair materials using a 26-foot box truck.
• Load and unload products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Provide warehouse support when needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; represent the company professionally.
