JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mon - Fri 2 PM - 10:30 PM, $23-25/hr + $1/hr differential

Essential Duties

  • Fitting, fabricating, and welding parts for assembly.
  • Use of diagrams, blueprints, or instructions to fit, tack and weld product.
  • Operation of Press Brake, Punch Break and other fabricating equipment.
  • Identify serviceable vs. non-serviceableparts during the assembly process.
  • Follow procedural guidelines during the fitting/welding process.
  • Proper use of power and manual tools.
  • Proper use of calibrated gauges, power and manual torquing devices.
  • Skills and Competencies

  • Technical Capacity
    • Proven skills in Tig Welding, including stainless steel.
    • Proven skills in welding with GMAW, FCAW and/or GTAW processes
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
    • Good mechanical skills
    • Attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
    • Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills.

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment :

    The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
