Position Title

Welder

Reports To

Production Manager

Essential Duties

• Fitting, fabricating, and welding parts for assembly.
• Use of diagrams, blueprints, or instructions to fit, tack, and weld product.
• Operate Press Brake, Punch Break, and other fabricating equipment.
• Identify serviceable vs. non-serviceable parts during the assembly process.
• Follow procedural guidelines during the fitting/welding process.
• Proper use of power and manual tools.
• Proper use of calibrated gauges, power, and manual torquing devices.

Skills and Competencies

• Proven skills in Tig Welding, including stainless steel.
• Proven skills in welding with GMAW, FCAW, and/or GTAW processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Knowledge of best practices and welding theory.
• Good mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of shop measurement devices.
• Basic knowledge of quantitative methods and graphic skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and time management skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions including noise, heat, cold, and dust. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and handle objects. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to Two years of related experience.
