Watson Custom Tanks in Springfield, MO is seeking a skilled Class A Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. This role focuses on high-quality stainless steel tank fabrication using TIG and Pulsed MIG welding, with emphasis on craftsmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, fabricating tank components, and ensuring accurate welds while complying with safety procedures. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of welding experience and a recognized welding background.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of fabrication and stainless steel welding experience.
• Must pass: 6G ASME pipe TIG test 2G ASME plate Pulsed MIG test 3G (downhill) ASME plate Pulsed MIG test.
• Strong fabrication skills; read blueprints, tape measures, and weld symbols.
• Welding certification preferred; high school diploma preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG and Pulsed MIG welds with minimal defects.
• Layout and fabricate tank components including heads and shells.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and measurements.
• Use weld gauges and complete weld, heat code, and traveler documentation.
• Operate hand tools, overhead cranes, and equipment safely.
• Work in confined spaces as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support team members and assist with additional tasks as assigned
