Job summary

The Legacy Companies, LLC in Waynesboro, Georgia is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role sets up and operates welding equipment to perform complex welds on various metals and alloys, including stainless steel, to fabricate subassemblies and assemblies with high strength and cosmetic quality.

The welder will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and follow safety policies while maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of one year of welding training or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience welding stainless steel.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Experience using: Hand tools, Grinders, Air tools, Welding machines, Measuring instruments and related fabrication equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

Assemble, align, square, and tack weld a variety of complex subassemblies and assemblies.
Utilize blueprints, measuring tools, fixtures, templates, clamps, jacks, and related equipment to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals and alloys as required.
Produce high-quality welds that meet structural, pressure, and cosmetic specifications.
Inspect completed work to verify adherence to quality and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Operate welding and fabrication equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
