Description

Advanced Process Technologies Inc. (APT) serves the Food & Dairy Industry designing custom equipment from concept to installation. We have the experience, talent, and expertise to help our customers stay ahead of the competition while giving them the support they need to succeed.

The Stainless Steel Welder II works with a team to assemble equipment using both TIG and MIG welding. This position is also responsible for operating a variety of grinders to prepare, clean and finish welds for customer equipment orders.

Basic Job Functions:

  1. Read and interpret drawings.
  2. Read measurements to weld assemblies using a variety of measuring devices.
  3. Assemble components using a variety of powered and hand tools.
  4. Set up and adjust welding equipment to perform high quality welds.
  5. Operate a variety of grinders to prepare, clean and finish welds.
  6. Mentorship to other co-workers.
  7. Daily production goals based on schedule to ensure on-time, high quality project completion.
  8. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Requirements

Required:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. 5 years’ experience welding TIG & MIG.
  3. Ability to perform basic shop math functions.
  4. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  5. Ability to work well with others.
  6. Ability to problem solve.
  7. Strong attention to detail.

Preferred:

  1. Experience with sanitary equipment fabrication.
  2. Metal finishing to sanitary RA32 standards.
  3. One or two year welding diploma from technical college or relevant welding experience.
  4. Knowledge of relative safety standards.

Training:

All welding new hires will participate in APT’s Welding Training Program to gain a thorough understanding of APT’s welding standards and practices. This training will ensure you are fully prepared for success by familiarizing you with APT’s high standards for quality and safety.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base compensation for this position. At APT, we are committed to offering compensation that is competitive and aligned with market standards, considering factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, and performance. As a result, compensation for the successful candidate(s) may fall anywhere within the stated range.
