JBT Marel in Sandusky, OH is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. You will perform stainless-steel fabrication and MIG/TIG welding on light-gauge stainless-steel components, reading drawings and weld symbols to produce high-quality parts.

This hands-on role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities to learn multiple welding and fabrication processes and to participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or 2+ years welding/fabrication experience.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience producing sanitary welds is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work in a team.

Mansioni

• MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel.
• Fabricate and assemble stainless-steel components per drawings and work instructions.
• Interpret weld symbols and shop routings.
• Set up and operate fabrication and finishing equipment.
• Grind, blend, and polish welds using hand/power tools.
• Move materials safely with cranes and forklifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety policies.
