Job summary

Netflix in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Stage Specialist to coordinate and supervise all stage activities, ensuring smooth production operations and a safe, organized environment for cast, crew and vendors. You will manage stage resources, scheduling, access, and documentation, partner with production teams and landlords, enforce site guidelines, and contribute to SOPs while addressing live-event challenges.

Extensive experience in live-action production and knowledge of union rules are preferred;

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in live-action production or related entertainment fields.
• Technical expertise in facility and stage management, including HVAC, power distribution, rigging specifications, and floor load capacities.
• Strong understanding of local union rules and guidelines.
• Familiarity with local production regulations, permitting, safety protocols, and EHS mandates.
• Effective problem-solving and the ability to work under tight deadlines in high-tempo production environments.
• Self-driven, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple productions with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration across internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; Airtable experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all stage activities to ensure smooth production operations.
• Manage stage resources, equipment, and logistics for creative and technical needs.
• Maintain a safe, organized environment for cast, crew, and production vendors.
• Communicate production requests with site team and stakeholders.
• Coordinate stage scheduling, access, documentation, and reports.
• Proactively address potential operational issues during live events, filming days, and general production.
• Collaborate with Studio Safety, Production Health & Safety and landlord to address hazards.
• Enforce site guidelines and Netflix policies on set.
• Support inventory tracking, procurement, and budget management for stage resources.
• Facilitate site tours for production location scouts and internal stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for stage operations.
• Address safety issues and collaborate with stakeholders as needed.
