We are seeking experienced, confident, and highly organized Stage Managers to support live entertainment operations across multiple shows and character-driven experiences at Universal Kids Resort.
Stage Managers play a critical leadership role in maintaining show quality, performer safety, timing, and operational flow in a fast-paced theme park environment designed for young audiences and families.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Stage Managers are responsible for the day-to-day execution of live shows, character appearances, and interactive experiences. This role serves as the central point of communication between performers, character assistants, technical teams, and leadership.
Stage Managers ensure that all performances operate safely, smoothly, and consistently while adapting quickly to the dynamic nature of live theme park entertainment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the execution of live shows, character appearances, and meet-and-greet experiences
- Calling shows and managing timing, cues, and transitions
- Supervising performers, Character & Costume Assistants, and show support staff
- Monitoring performances in real time to ensure safety, pacing, and show quality
- Managing performer call times, rotations, breaks, and transitions
- Serving as the primary communication link between performers, operations, and leadership
- Responding calmly and effectively to live operational changes or challengesEnsuring adherence to show standards, rehearsal notes, and operational guidelines
- Scheduling and Payroll reporting
- Completing daily reports and communicating performance or operational notes as required

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Stage Management in theater, live events, or theme park entertainment
- Show operations or production management
- Touring shows, cruise lines, attractions, or large-scale events
- Experience working with performers, costumes, and technical teams
- Training on specific shows and park operations will be provided.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is physically active and requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Move efficiently between performance locations
- Maintain focus and situational awareness during extended operational periods
- Respond quickly to changing live-show conditions
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & CONFIDENTIALITY
This position supports performances and experiences that involve licensed and proprietary intellectual property. All Stage Managers must:
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding shows, characters, rehearsals, and backstage operations
- Uphold brand standards, character integrity, and presentation guidelines
- Refrain from unauthorized photos, videos, recordings, or social media sharing
- Represent productions and experiences with professionalism and discretion at all times
Additional confidentiality and IP policies will be reviewed during training and onboarding.

DETAILS:
