Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment's House of Blues in New Orleans seeks a Lighting Engineer to ensure show productions succeed by handling load-in, setup, and lighting adjustments. You will operate lighting control boards and assist with on-site A/V requirements, collaborating with touring crews and venue staff.

The role requires experience in stage lighting, pro audio, and basic video systems, plus strong organizational and interpersonal skills. On-site work with occasional heavy lifting is expected.

Qualifications

  • 3 years minimum tour or stage production experience.
  • Experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load-in of band and rental equipment.
  • Set up and break-down of band and event equipment.
  • Adjust lighting to artist/event specifications.
  • Operate spotlight and lighting control boards.
  • Maintain and repair lighting equipment.
  • Coordinate with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show.
  • Create lighting plot plans and schedules.
  • Assist with A/V needs as required.
