Job summary

Stoke Space is hiring a Precision Assembly Engine Technician to build and assemble Stage 2 engine hardware. You will work closely with engineers to ensure precise assembly, log build notes, and provide feedback on tooling and layout.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with cryogenic components. You will participate in fast-paced production, support iterative improvements, and contribute to a safe, efficient workspace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical or manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years in precision assembly of engine systems or similar hardware.
• Detailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, seals, and sub-component parts.
• Experience with Oxygen, Cryogenic, and FOD-intolerant service components and systems.
• Familiar with pressurized systems and flight hardware proof testing.
• Able to work with delicate, high-value assemblies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work second shift and weekends as needed.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Able to stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Precision assembly of Rocket Engines hardware according to instructions.
• Assemble complex engine assemblies to work orders, drawings, CAD models and verbal instructions.
• Plan builds, organize inventory kits, identify shortages, and order common stock items.
• Precisely clean hardware.
• Identify discrepancies, write nonconformance reports, and coordinate with engineering.
• Follow work orders and document build steps for new and recurring sequences.
