Job description

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Process Engineer II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Concord, NC.

Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

Pay: $40-$43/hour on W2.

Shift: Onsite, 8am-5pm

Duration: 12-months – potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget.

Overview:

The Process Development Engineer is responsible for working within teams to optimize new process equipment and/or machines for improved manufacturing capability for new or existing products or reduced cost or optimize output.

Scope may include the following:

1. Improving process or equipment implemented by R&D and/or developing new equipment capability from concept to prototype to manufacturing demonstration.
2. Adapting existing manufacturing equipment to improve manufacturing capability, enable use for new or alternate products, and/or scale-up for increased manufacturing capacity or lower cost.
3. Expectation is to utilize fundamental machine design principles and define and execute testing protocols or experiments to validate equipment capability. Expectation to further engage corporate scientists and engineering resources for modeling and equipment testing to guide and validate designs, Product and Quality Engineering for process and machine qualification, and Manufacturing groups to ensure requirements of safety, operations, and maintenance are met.
4. Teamwork to accomplish objectives can be either via functional or matrix leadership.
5. ~20% travel possible to site in Wilmington, NC area. 4-6 Weeks training to start, incremental for meetings or experimentation.

Qualifications:

Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required; AAS or BA/BS preferred.

1+ years of related experience required.

All engineering backgrounds are welcome – ideal candidate has process improvement/process optimization experience within manufacturing.
