Job Description

The Assistant Human Resources Manager at LEGOLAND Florida Resort will leverage solid business acumen to partner effectively with the Human Resources Manager and management team on HR, staffing, employee relations, policies/procedures, compliance, and general management topics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Partner with operations to develop and implement proactive staffing plans, coordinating with corporate Talent Acquisition and staffing vendors as needed.
  2. Manage staffing and onboarding processes for both hourly and salaried employees.
  3. Lead initiatives to foster positive employee relations.
  4. Conduct annual reviews of compensation plans for all hourly staff.
  5. Ensure adherence to corporate, district, and governmental policies and regulations.
  6. Communicate benefits, policy updates, and HR-related changes effectively.
  7. Train and coach management and supervisory staff in interviewing, hiring, performance management, counseling, diversity, disciplinary actions, and compliance.
  8. Manage and report on HR metrics such as diversity and labor market data.
  9. Lead resolution of employee relations issues and conduct investigations when necessary.
  10. Implement and oversee disciplinary actions across departments.
  11. Facilitate training for hourly employees, including orientations and safety programs like HACCP, ServSafe, and FOCUS.
  12. Participate in safety meetings and maintain accurate employee records for audits.
  13. Develop and oversee Affirmative Action plans for the location.
  14. This role involves hands-on operational work alongside hourly and leadership staff.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Experience in Human Resources planning and organizational development is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in employment relations, investigations, and resolution development is advantageous.
  • Ability to interact effectively with management at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to train and present effectively.
  • Understanding of financial and business objectives with problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in process improvement.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
