Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, HI seeks a Staffing Coordinator to ensure daily nursing unit staffing. The role fills shifts with internal staff and external agencies, and inputs census and acuity data into the scheduling system to generate daily reports.

You will create and maintain daily staffing sheets, coordinate with bed control, and manage attendance records while supporting nurses’ needs. Per diem shift with variable hours in a community hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

• Coordinates with bed control to ensure required assignments are staffed.

Job Summary

Ensures appropriate staffing of the nursing units on a daily basis. Looks ahead to fill vacant shifts with internal staff and external supplemental staffing agencies. Inputs accurate census, acuity and staffing data into the scheduling system to generate daily reports, and performs clerical, reception and general office duties. Creates a culture of sensitivity to nurses' needs while filling the patient care bases. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required


• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
