Job summary

River Oaks Hospital in the New Orleans metro area seeks a Staffing Coordinator to manage daily nursing staffing and review assignments with nursing leadership. You will process PTO requests and ensure coverage for absences, while helping to correct staff time in the UKG system.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field and at least two years of hospital staffing/scheduling experience.

The Staffing Coordinator will provide effective daily staffing for the nursing department and review assignments with nursing management. The Staffing Coordinator will assist with processing PTO requests and ensuring coverage for employees taking PTO to include processing calls‑ins/absences to ensures coverage. Assists in correcting/editing staff time in UKG system.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a hospital with staffing/scheduling responsibilities for all shifts for clinical and nursing personnel, managing staff schedules and time/attendance tracking
• Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime, weekends and/or flexible hours.
