Job summary

Reunion Plaza Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Texarkana, TX is hiring a Staffing Coordinator (LPN). You will serve as the primary staffing contact for the facility’s nursing team, coordinating coverage for RN, LPN, CMA, and CNAs, and working with a multidisciplinary staff to ensure reliable schedules.

The role includes interviewing, onboarding, license verification, attendance tracking, and compliance with in-services.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license required
• Experience in nursing home or geriatric care preferred
• Scheduling experience required; KRONOS experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LPN, CMA, CNAs)
• Process applications for all positions
• Schedule and conduct interviews with qualified applicants
• Complete new hire reference checks, license/certification verifications
• Review staffing routinely and adjust based on census
• Conduct clinical portion of the new hire orientation
• Conduct drug testing of all new hires
• Maintain attendance records, excused/unexcused absences
• Track State mandated In-services and In-services as required
• Annual Proficiency Testing for CNAs
• May participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing staff
• Maintain copies and track licenses
• Track, audit and administer TB tests, Flu shots, etc. for Residents and Employees

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, track and log attendance for all State mandated In-services and In-services as required by Administrator and DON
• Annual Proficiency Testing for Certified Nurse Aides
• May Participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing staff
• Maintain copies and track nurse and nurse aide licenses
• Track, audit and administer TB tests, Flu Shots, etc. for Residents and Employees

Job Requirements

• Current, valid licensure as an LPN is required.
• Previous experience in a nursing home or home health setting providing care to geriatric-age patients
• Previous scheduling experience required; KRONOS experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
• Strong written and verbal skills required
