Job summary

Always Compassionate Home Care is seeking a per diem Staffing Coordinator to join our coordination team in Melville, NY. This role focuses on scheduling caregivers, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compassionate, high-quality home care.

The position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and experience in home health staffing. You will work closely with nurses and recruitment to ensure timely coverage and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NYS DOH Home Care operations preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• At least 2 years of experience in a Home Care or Health Care setting
• At least 2 years experience staffing/scheduling
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail with problem solving skills
• Strong customer service background

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for home care clients- scheduling home care staff accordingly.
• Communicating schedule assignments with staff and clients.
• Collaborate with recruitment department regarding hiring HHA/PCAs from difficult to serve geographical areas.
• Documents and reports to Supervisor when there is a change in client status, change in service requirement, change in aide assigned to case, incidents, and complaints.
• Partners with recruiters and intake coordinators to ensure immediate and effective care coverage.
• Communicate all relevant information to nurses and homecare clients.
• Follows up with clients, and families regarding schedule changes, service issues, etc...

Role Summary

Always Compassionate Home Care is seeking a (per diem) Staffing Coordinator to work with our coordination team. This team’s primary responsibility is to work directly with our caregivers to ensure they are providing our clients with the compassionate care our clients deserve. Coordinators focus on delivery of care through scheduling and continuous communication with our PCA/HHA Division.
