Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Mailchimp DotCom team in San Diego to own and evolve Mailchimp.com, the marketing website that acts as the entry point for prospects.

You will lead high-impact technical initiatives, guide engineers, and shape scalable web platforms powering self-serve growth for a global audience. You will drive design/implementation of secure, reliable Kubernetes services and advanced user experiences, collaborating across product, design, and marketing

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing, and shipping enterprise frontend/platform applications.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and mentoring.
• BS or MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript/React and Python.
• Knowledge of Java/J2EE and Kotlin is a plus.
• Experience with SDLC and modern development practices.
• Experience with microservices and API designs (REST, GraphQL).
• Commitment to DevOps, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and architectural design skills.
• Experience with unit testing and TDD.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend engineering for hosted UI and pages.
• Architect and develop software, prototypes, or POCs.
• Gather requirements, draft technical specs, plan tests.
• Mentor engineers and lead a small team on design problems.
• Produce technical docs and presentations for architecture options.
• Fix defects during QA, pre-prod, prod, and post-release.
• Collaborate with product, QA/QE, and business units.
• Demonstrate passion for well-architected frontend or backend systems.
• Apply Agile, SCRUM, or XP methodologies.
