Qualifications

• Experience leading cybersecurity in regulated environments (healthcare/financial services/government).

Position Title: Staff VP Deputy CISO

Job Description: Staff VP Deputy CISO

Location: May be located in any Elevance Health PulsePoint office preferably in Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA, Woodland Hills, CA, Mason, OH, Richmond, VA, Norfolk, VA, or Chicago, IL.

This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. Summary

Responsible for providing operational leadership to implement the overall Information Security strategic vision within Elevance Health. Accountable for developing and executing information security and business resiliency policies, strategies, and processes. Directs a specialized team of internal and external resources to deliver these capabilities. Responsible for translating strategic vision into measurable execution and integrated delivery across multiple cybersecurity disciplines. Reports directly to the VP Chief Information Security Officer. The Staff VP Deputy CISO is responsible for the management of technology solutions, and adherence to in-scope security controls.

Position Responsibilities

• Oversees the security technology infrastructure, data security hygiene, monitorization and remediation of risks (internal and external), and collaboration with Enterprise Technology Associate Services for technology integrations.
• Provides cross-functional execution leadership for the security organization, with specific responsibility for the following domains: Identity and Access Management, Security Technology Services, Data Protection, Cyber Security Threat Management, Cloud Security, Security Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence.
• Routinely works with the Elevance Health Senior Leadership Team and their direct reports, Senior Leaders from Elevance Health's Legal, and Audit and Risk Management teams, as well as Elevance Health customers, regulators, industry committee representatives, and other key business, IT, and vendor stakeholders.

Position Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field; 15+ years of experience in Information Security leadership, and 10+ years of experience in the leadership of distributed IT organizations. Experience leading cybersecurity execution in complex, regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, financial services, or government) is required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

• Demonstrated experience in audit, controls, policy, and strategy of Information Security is strongly preferred as well as risk management, regulatory compliance, audit, and controls experience.
• A deep understanding of artificial intelligence, including machine learning techniques, natural language processing, and neural networks, is essential as well as an understanding of architecture of HIPAA-compliant cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Must have a strong technical background in data encryption, network security, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies, as well as familiarity with IAM technologies, such as single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM).

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $249,200.00 to $429,870.00.
