Job summary

ServiceNow seeks a Staff Voice AI Engineer - SRE/DevOps to build scalable cloud-native solutions for Voice AI in a distributed environment. You will own features from design through delivery, emphasizing reliability, observability, and performance.

You will work with Python/Go/Java and modern CI/CD tools, integrating LLMs into voice systems while mentoring peers and advancing AI-enabled workflows across teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating highly available distributed cloud-native workloads on Kubernetes.
• 2+ years building and operating Voice AI applications is a strong asset.
• 4+ years of development experience with Python, Go, Java or similar languages.
• Experience integrating applications on top of LLMs (Prompt Engineering Agents and Skills).
• Working experience building distributed systems with cloud-native software.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Build software solutions to solve operational problems in the cloud-native space for Voice AI deployments, observability, monitoring, HA, DR, CI, and more.
• Write high-quality, clean, scalable, reusable code with strong review and testing practices.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into design, implementation, test, and delivery.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into voice platforms and real-time communication systems.
• Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing across telecom and AI engineering teams.

As a Staff Voice AI Engineer - SRE/DevOps you will:

• Build software solutions to solve operational problems in the cloud-native space for Voice AI (deployments, observability, monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, continuous integration, ...)
• Build high-quality, clean,scalableand reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.).
• Work with product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation, and delivery
• Experience integrating LLMs into voice platforms and real-time communication systems.
• Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing across telecom and AI engineering disciplines.

To be successful in this role you have:

• 4+ years of experienceoperatinghighly availabledistributed cloud-native workloads running on container platforms (e.g. Kubernetes)
• 2+ years of experience building and operating Voice AI applications is a strong asset
• 4+ years of development experience with Python,GoLang, Java or similar languages.
• Experience integrating applications on top of LLMs (Prompt Engineering Agents and Skills);
• Working experiencebuildingdistributed systemswith cloud-native software;
• Experience with software-defined networking, infrastructure as code and configurationmanagement;
• Experience with DevOpstooling(e.g. Helm / Ansible / Kubernetes / Prometheus /Splunk/ GitLab CI) is considered an asset
• Critically thinking around AI integrations for work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• Experience building with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $176,100 - $308,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
