RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support in the field as a member of the management team responsible for live turkey production.
  • Work with an entire team of skilled veterinarians and nutritionists to support company and contract turkey farms.
  • Develop and maintain preventative medicine and general turkey health management programs.
  • Plan and execute detailed projects and focusing on improving health and performance.
  • Provide key support to basic processing to maximize the yield of wholesome turkey meat
  • Through leadership, development of competencies, training, and effective role modeling, personally embrace our Cultural Beliefs to create experiences, beliefs, and actions that will drive our key results.

  • Successful candidates must have a DVM degree from an AVMA accredited institution and have or be eligible for veterinary licensure.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in poultry production

TRAVEL: 15% overnight travel to include continuing education and team manager meetings, 75% daily travel to farms

LOCATION: Barron, WI Area

At Jennie-O/Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $120,000-$168,000 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
