The Staff Veterinarian’s duties include ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements set by U.S. and international agencies. Responsibilities involve overseeing product licensing, animal welfare during clinical trials, and managing adverse events.
The successful candidate will collaborate with other departments to plan, organize, conduct, and monitor clinical trials and testing. They will write protocols and final reports, communicate with distribution partners and government agencies internationally for product registration, conduct staff training, assess laboratory animal health, provide medical care, support quality assurance, and perform other duties as assigned.
The veterinarian should understand, evaluate, and apply internal processes, suggest improvements, and provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients. They must listen, analyze requests, and resolve issues promptly. Compliance with USDA/FDA regulations and leading interdepartmental meetings are essential.
Qualifications: Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Iowa veterinary license, 2+ years of clinical experience, with prior experience or interest in regulatory support, technical writing, research and development, and clinical trials.
