Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Staff Veterinarian to join our client to support the health and welfare of large animals within a dynamic, multi-species research and biotech production environment. This role provides essential veterinary oversight, ensuring animals remain healthy, well‑managed, and compliant with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings strong large‑animal experience, thrives in a hands‑on farm setting, and enjoys collaborating across operational and research teams. Relocation assistance may be offered for qualified candidates.

Compensation:
$200,000/year

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours

Location:
Ottsville, PA or Everett, PA (onsite)

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Veterinarian:

Deliver comprehensive multi‑species veterinary care
Provide medical assessments, routine exams, treatments, and clinical oversight for various large‑animal species, ensuring optimal health for research and production needs.

Support preventive health programs and daily welfare
Partner with farm and operational teams to establish wellness protocols, manage biosecurity measures, and contribute to effective herd and flock health strategies.

Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness
Uphold USDA, AAALAC, and internal standards by monitoring conditions, documentation, and procedures, supporting a culture of safety, ethics, and compliance.

Contribute to training and operational development
Assist in staff onboarding and skills training while offering veterinary input on new facility expansions, program development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills for the Staff Veterinarian:

  • DVM/VMD degree required, with strong large‑animal or farm‑animal experience.
  • Experience working with multiple species in regulated, research, or production environments.
  • Familiarity with USDA, AAALAC, IACUC, or similar regulatory frameworks (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to relocate if needed; background in biotech, pharma, or multi‑species programs is a plus.
