You will work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional partners to drive research throughout the product life cycle to strategically impact both company and product direction. Your focus will be to provide actionable insights to shape experiences for beauty and wellness business users and their customers. If you have a passion for understanding and communicating user behaviors, needs, and motivations through the craft of research methodology and storytelling, we’d love to hear from you!

This role will operate in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in our New York City office (Tuesdays & Thursdays).

What You’ll Do
  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify high-impact user research that addresses both user behavior and attitudes.
  • Design and execute end-to-end primary research using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Generate insights and provide input into company and product strategy.
  • Communicate results and socialize recommendations in compelling and creative ways.
  • Represent the needs of our users and prospective users and ensure the products we ship bring meaningful value to both the end users and the business.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers.
  • Manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights, and work with a diverse group of stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 7+ years experience with UX Research and/or applied research.
  • Experience conducting in-depth interviews or focus groups and concept testing or usability testing.
  • Experience with survey design and applying statistical analysis methods such as Regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests.
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously, and cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing.
  • Proven experience in translating research findings into strategic narratives and influencing product roadmaps in a way that impacts the business.
  • Solid understanding of common qualitative and quantitative research methods, and when and how to use mixed methods.
  • Experience working directly with product teams (primarily Product Design and Product Management).
  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting to groups, creating compelling stories from user data, and building relationships across interdisciplinary stakeholders.

Benefits:

  • Flexible PTO.
  • Competitive health & dental insurance options, with premiums partially or fully covered by GG.
  • In-person opportunities that are designed to help team members foster collaboration and build community (i.e.; working out of a co-working space, team dinners, and other team building activities).
  • Fertility and adoption benefits via Carrot.
  • Generous, fully-paid parental leave policy.
  • 401k benefit - employees are eligible to contribute starting day 1 of employment.
  • Professional Development - employees receive a yearly stipend for approved learning and educational-related expenses.
  • Dependent Care FSA.
  • Home office support.
