Job summary

Continental Resources, Inc. seeks a Staff Treasury Accountant to support the management of financial transactions, cash flow, and banking activities in Oklahoma City.

You will handle high-value, time-sensitive, and confidential transactions with accuracy and organization, coordinating with banks and internal teams. Responsibilities include monitoring bank activity, processing wires and ACH payments, performing cash reconciliations, and ensuring SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance from a accredited university.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related treasury/accounting experience.
• An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Monitors bank activity and resolves discrepancies with banks and internal teams.
• Prepares domestic and international payments (wire/ACH) per approvals and cutoff times.
• Performs monthly cash and treasury GL reconciliations and posts journal entries.
• Supports treasury policy compliance, SOX controls, and audit documentation.
• Assists treasury process improvements, testing, and user training.

Job Summary

The Staff Treasury Accountant is responsible for providing support in the management of the company’s financial transactions, cash flow, and banking activities. This role involves a range of administrative and financial tasks, with a heightened need for accuracy and organizational skills. Responsible for dealing with high value, time sensitive, and sometimes confidential financial transactions

Duties and Responsibilities

Monitors prior-day and same-day bank activity; researches and resolves exceptions, returned items, bank fees, and other discrepancies with banks and internal teams. Prepares and reviews releases domestic and international payments, including wires and ACH transactions, in accordance with approval requirements, cutoff times, and payment controls. Performs monthly bank and treasury-related general ledger reconciliations for cash; investigates reconciling items and posts necessary journal entries. Supports compliance with treasury policies, SOX and internal controls, and audit requirements by maintaining documentation, control narratives, and supporting evidence. Participates in treasury process improvements and implementations involving treasury management, enterprise resource planning, and banking platforms; performs testing, supports user training, and documents changes. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international treasury operations, including cross-border cash management, foreign currency transactions, and international banking relationships.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in the oil and gas industry.

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
