Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Technical Program Management team. You will drive programs in the Commercial Technology group, partnering with product, design and software engineering across cross-functional teams from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in program management, product management, engineering or similar cross-functional role.
• Track record of launching consumer facing software products.
• Proficiency with bug/task tracking software tools, especially Jira.
• Ability to adapt processes to the team composition and be time-efficient with planning and status reporting.
• Passion for and demonstrated proficiency in working with cross-functional software teams.
• Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
• Understands how to accelerate development pace while balancing technical quality and product/design scope.
• Time-efficient with use of meetings and asynchronous communication to drive decisions and next steps.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary software projects from start to finish, including embedded software development.
• Plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers on high-visibility consumer-facing products.
• Drive planning and implementation of programs and features to hit roadmap goals; track progress and risks.
• Develop and manage program schedules, technical issues, release management, and resources.
• Communicate progress with stakeholders and leadership across locations and time zones.
• Implement process improvements to streamline product development and manage risks.
