Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Staff Engineer Test – Lab Manager Lead to oversee a team of lab managers across multiple integration and test laboratories in Baltimore. This role drives architecture, build-out, and ongoing maintenance of lab infrastructure for hardware and software activities.

The candidate will coordinate with engineering, program management, and security teams to ensure safety, configuration control, and readiness of labs while managing schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related experience.
• Master's degree in a STEM field is preferred.
• PhD in a STEM discipline is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight for a team of lab managers.
• Lead architecture, design, build-out, and ongoing maintenance of lab infrastructure.
• Oversee end-to-end bench lifecycle sustainment across multiple labs.
• Ensure documentation for test fixtures, as-built drawings, and configuration changes.
• Coordinate calibration, equipment configurations, and lab safety/compliance.
