Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) – Armament Systems in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Staff Engineer Test to create and govern comprehensive test plans and reports in a DoD environment. You will lead IPTs, manage CAM scope and coordinate TRRs while interfacing with customers and external partners.

A DoD Secret clearance is required and occasional travel is expected. The role emphasizes test engineering, documentation, and collaboration with program managers, chief engineers, design engineers

Qualifications

• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) programs and projects as they relate to product verification and validation per program requirements as they relate to test plans, test conduct, and test report generation.
• Complete understanding and application of the various military specifications and standards as they relate to requirements verifications for advanced technology weapons, medium and large caliber ammunition, and precision guidance weapons.
• Experience with environmental testing methods and processes.
• Prior experience assembling test plans and test reports for customer deliverables in capturing required test data per the test plan/procedure.

Responsibilities

• Create Master Test Plans (MTPs), Hardware Utilization Matrixes (HUMs), Detailed Test Plans (DTPs) and Test Procedures.
• Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in test engineering activities and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) to manage budgets and milestones.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) prior to test conduct and coordinate with program managers, chief engineers and customers.
• Interface with external customers and business partners and support proposal activities.
