Job summary

Carrier is looking for a Staff Quality Inspection Technician to ensure product quality through inspections across various stages. You will perform moderately complex inspections, establish testing specifications, and assist in training team members.

The ideal candidate must have an Associates Degree or a Technical degree and at least 4 years of experience in gaging and blueprint reading. A knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hard gaging, thread gaging, CMM, micro view operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inspecting arriving, in-process, and completed products for quality.
  • Perform moderately complex First Article Inspections (FIA) and conformity inspections.

This position is for a Staff Quality Inspection Technician who works under moderate supervision. Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench and product feature inspections. Establishes inspection and testing specifications and procedures. Reviews inspection and test plans, technical reports, and data. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning the work of business support/technical employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Works under moderate supervision to assist with inspecting arriving, in-process and completed products for quality
  • Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections. Inspects actual products on the floor and on-line
  • Performs moderately complex First Article Inspections (FIA) and conformity inspections.
  • Reviews technical reports, graphs, and charts
  • Establishes inspection and testing specifications and procedures.
  • Reviews inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions
Role Purpose
  • This position is for a first and second shift staff Quality Inspection technician who works under moderate supervision
  • Flexibility to change Shift is required
  • Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections
  • Establishes inspection and testing specification and procedures. Reviews inspection and test plans, technical reports, and data. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning the work of business support/technical employees
Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or (2 year) Technical degree
  • 4+ years of hard gaging, thread gaging, CMM, micro view operation, blueprint reading experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Micro VU - CMM measurement programming
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks
  • ISO 9001 standards a plus
  • Blue print - Drawing interpretation
  • GD&T Experience
