Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Staff Technician to test and troubleshoot antennas and support development on indoor and outdoor ranges in McKinney, TX. This onsite role requires working with diverse electronic equipment and following established procedures.

The candidate will observe data, report results, manage configurations, and mentor junior technicians while contributing to a secure and efficient test environment. A Secret clearance is required for start date. Relocation benefits are not offered.

The Staff Technician will be responsible for testing of antennas and arrays on indoor and outdoor ranges in support of Advanced Product Center factories, engineering, and product development.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a electronics industry or equivalent military electronics experience.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Qualifications We Prefer

• Work directly from approved procedures, schematics, and verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failure trends.
• Isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary
• Select appropriate test equipment and configure it based on test specification
• Communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s)
• Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed.

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
