Marqeta is seeking a Staff Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting across Product and Technology, partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to build out our most critical teams.

You’ll join a Talent Acquisition team that supports engineering to go-to-market, with the flexibility to move between Product and Engineering hiring as priorities shift. This role is remote within Canada.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full cycle recruiting, with focus on Product and Technology.
• Ability to recruit across product and engineering, switching priorities as needed.
• Working knowledge of engineering roles, tech stacks, and screening with engineers.
• Experience recruiting in fintech or payments or regulated industries.
• Manage high-volume, high-urgency requisitions while maintaining candidate experience.
• Strong communication and senior stakeholder partnering.
• Experience with a modern ATS.
• Recruiting for both IC and leadership roles in Product and Engineering.
• Familiarity with structured interview and scorecard methodology including technical assessments.

As Marqeta’s Staff Technical Recruiter, you will own full cycle recruiting across our Product and Technology organizations, partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership to bring in exceptional talent. You’ll join a Talent Acquisition team that supports every part of the business, from engineering to go to market. This role is a high visibility partnership, working directly with senior stakeholders to build out some of our most critical teams, and offers the flexibility to move between Product and Engineering hiring as business priorities shift.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the province where you reside, whether that’s Ontario, Canada or British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have

• - Partner directly with Product and Engineering leadership to understand hiring needs and build a recruiting strategy for each role
• - Own full cycle recruiting for Product and Technology roles, from intake through offer, with a strong focus on candidate experience
• - Build and maintain strong pipelines of product, software engineering, and other technical talent, with particular attention to candidates who bring fintech or payments experience
• - Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on market data, leveling, and how to position Marqeta competitively for both product and engineering talent
• - Flex across disciplines, taking on Product, Engineering, and adjacent technical searches as business needs evolve
• - Continuously refine sourcing and interview approaches, including technical assessment and evaluation practices, to keep pace with a fast growing Product and Engineering org

Who You Are

• - 8+ years of full cycle recruiting experience, with a strong focus on Product and Technology/Engineering roles
• - Demonstrated ability to recruit across both product and engineering disciplines, and comfort moving between them as priorities change
• - Working knowledge of engineering roles, tech stacks, and technical concepts, enough to screen effectively, build credibility with engineers, and partner with technical hiring managers
• - Experience recruiting in fintech, payments, or another highly regulated industry
• - A track record of managing a high volume, high urgency requisition load without sacrificing candidate experience
• - Strong communication skills and comfort partnering with senior stakeholders
• - Experience working in a modern ATS
• - Experience recruiting for both individual contributor and leadership level roles across Product and Engineering
• - Familiarity with structured interview and scorecard methodology, including technical assessments and coding or system design interview loops

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta calibrates pay to a competitive value according to working location. When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this full-time position, reflected in CAD, is: $119,800 - $149,800
