Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About The Team

The Sentry product family delivers autonomous force protection capabilities across defense, border security, and critical infrastructure missions. While our fixed‑site platforms provide persistent domain awareness, the next generation of Sentry expands these capabilities onto mobile, maneuverable, and expeditionary platforms. The Sentry Maneuver Systems team develops these next‑generation platforms by integrating vehicle systems, robotics, autonomy, sensing, communications, power systems, and mission payloads into rapidly deployable capabilities. These common platform technologies support multiple business lines—including Counter‑Intrusion, Air Defense, Maritime, and future mission areas—creating reusable capabilities that can be adapted across a broad range of operational needs.

About The Job

We’re seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead development of Anduril’s Sentry Maneuver Systems platform. This role is responsible for driving execution across the complete hardware development lifecycle—from early concept development through engineering integration, prototype builds, qualification, manufacturing readiness, production, and operational deployment. Primary ownership will focus on the Mobile Sentry platform while supporting development of adjacent maneuver capabilities, including new vehicle integrations, chassis development, and lower‑cost or dismounted system variants as the product family evolves.

As a Staff TPM, you’ll provide technical program leadership across multiple engineering organizations while partnering closely with Product Management, Platform Architecture, Chief Engineers, and stakeholders across Counter‑Intrusion, Air Defense, Maritime, and other business lines to ensure shared platform capabilities evolve to meet diverse mission requirements. Success in this role requires balancing the priorities of multiple products, engineering teams, and customers while driving common architectures, reusable hardware solutions, and delivery of mission‑ready autonomous systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead technical execution for the Mobile Sentry platform and related Sentry Maneuver Systems initiatives.
  • Drive hardware development from concept through prototype, system integration, validation, production readiness, manufacturing, and deployment.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, the Lead Platform Architect, and Chief Engineers to align platform architecture, technical execution, and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Counter‑Intrusion, Air Defense, Maritime, and other business line stakeholders to develop shared platform capabilities that address evolving mission requirements.
  • Coordinate execution across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software, Autonomy, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Reliability, Test, Quality, Product Management, and Platform Architecture teams.
  • Establish integrated development plans, technical milestones, and execution strategies across multiple concurrent development efforts.
  • Lead complex system integration activities spanning vehicle platforms, chassis, sensors, communications, compute, power systems, autonomy hardware, and mission payloads.
  • Drive engineering readiness through design reviews, prototype builds, qualification testing, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp.
  • Identify technical and programmatic risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and drive alignment across engineering and leadership teams.
  • Partner with manufacturing and suppliers to mature products for scalable production and long‑term sustainment.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and reuse hardware platforms, subsystems, and technologies across multiple products and business lines.
  • Communicate program health, technical decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and key milestones to engineering and executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • 8-10+ years leading complex hardware product development programs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering sophisticated electromechanical systems from concept through production.
  • Experience leading highly cross‑functional engineering efforts spanning multiple hardware and software disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, hardware development, manufacturing, validation, qualification, and production readiness.
  • Experience driving execution across multiple engineering organizations without direct management authority.
  • Proven ability to influence technical decisions and align diverse stakeholders around common objectives.
  • Experience partnering with suppliers, manufacturing organizations, and production teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing autonomous systems, robotics, defense systems, aerospace products, automotive platforms, or other complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with vehicle integration, chassis development, or mobile platform architecture.
  • Experience integrating sensors, communications systems, compute, power systems, or mission payloads into production hardware.
  • Experience with prototype development, DFM/DFA, APQP, PPAP, qualification testing, and manufacturing scale‑up.
  • Experience supporting customer demonstrations, field testing, and operational deployments.
  • Experience developing common platforms or reusable hardware architectures across multiple product lines.
  • Familiarity with mission‑critical or safety‑critical systems.
