As a Technical Program Manager on the Search team, focusing on CU Signal Relevance and Offsite Signals, you'll enhance our search and shopping experiences by understanding content deeply, leveraging external data, and driving strategic initiatives that impact user engagement, ad targeting, and platform quality.

What you'll do:
  1. Strategic Planning and Roadmap Management: Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to define and prioritize the strategic direction for CU signals, relevance, and offsite signals initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and resources.
  2. Technical Execution and Delivery: Manage the implementation of projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Coordinate with engineering teams for building, testing, and deploying signals and models, while tracking progress and mitigating risks. Oversee data acquisition processes, including negotiations, pipeline setup, and compliance.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration and Alignment: Work with external partners and internal teams (Engineering, Product, Legal, Privacy) to ensure seamless data integration and usage. Facilitate communication and alignment across teams relying on offsite signals, acting as the main contact for initiatives.
  4. Data Acquisition and Management: Oversee data acquisition, pipeline setup, and quality assurance. Build and maintain infrastructure for offsite signals, defining metrics for data quality, coverage, and performance.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in data acquisition, signal development, deployment, and maintenance processes. Develop best practices and documentation for signal management.
  6. Legal and Privacy Compliance: Collaborate with Legal and Privacy teams to ensure regulatory compliance and data security.
  7. Tooling and Infrastructure: Work with engineering to enhance tools and infrastructure for signals and relevance, monitoring system performance and reliability.
  8. Evaluation and Measurement: Define and monitor key metrics for signal and relevance performance, working with Data Science and Analytics teams to assess impact.
What we're looking for:
  1. BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience (7+ years in a technical or analytical role)
  2. Strong technical breadth, judgment, and risk assessment skills
  3. Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment and manage ambiguity
  4. Focus on execution and data-informed decision-making
  5. Excellent cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills
  6. Experience with Search products and data acquisition for offsite signals is a plus
Additional Information:
  • This position is remote with occasional in-office collaboration (1-2 times per quarter). Location flexibility within the country.
  • Salary range: $141,502 — $291,328 USD, based on experience and location.
