D-Wave is seeking a Technical Account Manager to lead technical engagements with research clients in Florida and drive adoption of our quantum computing platform. You will act as a trusted advisor, identifying use cases, solving complex problems, and delivering value through collaboration with sales, product, and R&D teams.
In this client-facing role, you will communicate with executive and technical stakeholders, translate requirements to product teams, and present our roadmap.

Internally,you’llcollaborate closely with sales,product,professionalservicesandR&Dteams to ensure customer needs aremet,and value is delivered, acting as the head of accounts for D-Wave’s advanced computing business.
Demonstrate a strong customer support mindset, meeting clients where they are and delivering candid, thoughtful guidance
Work with a dedicated team of D-Wave personnel from services, R&D, and support to hold regular technical meetings on active research projects, connecting the dots towards strengthening long-term research ecosystems
Translate and present the D-Wave’s vision, strategy, and product roadmap to both executive-level and technical stakeholders at research organizations
Convey customer requirements to internal product and development teams, advocating for client needs
Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively across multiple platforms and audiences
Deliver technical presentations at large events such as conferences, webinars, and seminars
Present ourquantum computing capabilitiestoresearchprospects, understanding their most critical computational challenges and mappingpotential project ideasaccordingly
Support marketing efforts by hosting webinars, staffing conference booths, andrepresentingthe company at industry events
Build andmaintainlong‑term technical relationships with customer teams across the project lifecycle
Identifyand recommend new projects that canleveragetheD-Wave’ssolutions
Serve as a technical resource on quantumcomputing, industry trends, and competitive positioning
Expect 30%–50% travel to conferences, client meetings, training sessions, and sales events
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field; advanced degree a plus
5+ years combined experience in a technical customer-facing role (e.g.Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Presales, Solution Integrator, Solution Architect, Customer Success) in enterprise software or comparablepost-sales account management experience with clients in large research organizations
2+ years of hands‑on Python programming experience in an enterprise environment
Experience supportingclients in areas oflogistics, manufacturing,pharma, fintech, and/or research and educationisrequired
Strong foundationin optimization, algorithms, or applied mathematics
Experience with tools and platforms such as GitHub, and REST APIs
Familiarity withquantum computing techniquesor operations research highly desired
Proven ability to communicate technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Project management experienceis a plus, but notrequired
