Job summary

Oura is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager, Core Technologies to join our Hardware TPM team in San Francisco. You will lead multiple cross-disciplinary technology initiatives, maturing emerging technologies before they transfer into future NPIs, working with mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, sensing, silicon, and more.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading complex cross-functional engineering or technology development efforts across multiple disciplines.
• Experience with phase-gated or maturity-based development models and readiness criteria.
• Ability to plan technical work, structure ambiguous problems, and drive multiple initiatives in parallel.
• Strong program management judgment, prioritization, risk management, and executive communication.
• Experience with design-of-experiments, prototypes, and learning cycles to inform decisions.
• Familiarity with Linear, Confluence, and Smartsheet workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple core technology initiatives, driving feasibility, risk reduction, and readiness for transfer into NPI programs
• Partner with senior engineers and cross-functional leaders across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, science, sensing, silicon, and materials
• Define scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria for each initiative
• Establish development plans and readiness criteria for entering product development
• Drive cross-functional alignment and mitigate technical, supply, and schedule risks
• Lead prototype builds, feasibility experiments, and learning cycles
• Provide clear program reporting on status, risks, decisions, and resources
• Support external partners delivering development work where applicable
• Help define core technology development processes and incubation transfer into NPIs
• Foster execution, open communication, and a high-accountability culture
