Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Tax Accountant to join our client’s expanding tax practice in Montgomery County, PA. This in-office role is ideal for a motivated professional with a passion for supporting entrepreneurial businesses and individual clients. You will prepare and manage tax returns, ensure regulatory compliance, advise on tax strategies, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Responsibilities as the Staff Tax Accountant:

• Tax Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
• Client Advisory and Compliance: Stay current on tax laws, provide proactive client advice, and maintain regulatory compliance and documentation.
• Engagement Support: Assist in managing multiple tax engagements, ensuring deadlines are met and strong client relationships are maintained.
• Team Collaboration: Support junior staff development through coaching and help ensure the quality of deliverables.
• Process Improvement: Identify workflow enhancements and contribute to best practices and operational efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications for the Staff Tax Accountant:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Certification: CPA preferred or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• Experience: 2+ years of public tax experience, preferably with prior experience at a CPA firm.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and tax codes, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, tax software, and financial reporting systems.
• Skills & Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional with excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Industry Knowledge: Exposure to a wide range of industries and experience preparing returns for partnerships, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals preferred.
