Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Systems Modeling/Simulation & Analysis Engineer (MS&A) in Huntsville, AL, or Roy, UT. The role leads physics-based predictive modeling and simulation frameworks for cruise-missile accuracy, validating models with test data and delivering technical reports to senior leadership.

Requires DoD clearance and strong leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate collaborates across teams, mentors engineers, and applies Agile practices using Jira/Confluence

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with extensive related experience; MS/PhD acceptable with seniority
• US Citizenship with active Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain; DoD eligibility
• 5+ years hands-on scripting in Python, C++, SQL, MATLAB, or R

Responsibilities

• Lead physics-based modeling and simulation framework development for cruise-missile accuracy
• Validate accuracy error models using ground/flight test data
• Produce post-flight analysis reports and executive presentations
• Coordinate with external teams to deliver analysis data per CDRLs and IMS
• Develop and trace modeling requirements; manage ERB and change requests
• Provide EVM reporting and schedule variance analysis for MS&A
• Mentor a multidisciplinary team and promote collaboration
• Apply Agile practices using Jira/Confluence for task tracking
• Maintain a secure classified lab environment per DoD security
• Advise leadership on mission-effectiveness trade-studies and architecture options
