Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Staff Systems - Nuclear Surety Engineer in Roy, Utah to support the Sentinel program. This role focuses on decomposing safety manuals into design requirements and providing systems engineering across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

You will interface with DoD/DOE and utilize model-based tools to evaluate designs, with relocation assistance potentially available and a 9/80 schedule option.

Qualifications

• US citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Decompose DoD safety manuals into requirements and allocate to design teams
• Provide systems engineering to design, integration, and testing of a next-generation ICBM weapon system
• Participate in planning, integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems
• Interface with DoD/DOE to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems
• Use model-based engineering tools on a major weapon system to evaluate modern design
