Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant engineering field with significant experience.
• 11+ years with a Bachelor's or 9+ years with a Master's in design/engineering.
• Experience with actuation systems (motors, gearing, electronics).
• Extensive MATLAB/Simscape experience for dynamic analyses.
• Knowledge of composites/lightweighting is a plus.
• Experience with defense programs or government contracting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design & analysis across electrical, mechanical, software and composites.
• Define system architecture from customer requirements and standards.
• Manage requirements, tolerances, and traceability across subsystems.
• Use modeling/simulation to verify performance, reliability and safety.
• Create/test plans, fixtures, and tooling for global deployment.
• Mentor engineers and review design work to promote best practices.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams on requirements and test results.
• Support proposals with technical definitions and diagrams.
• Travel up to 20% for multi-site projects.
