Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Staff Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer at our Linthicum/Baltimore, MD campus. We encourage candidates with backgrounds in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Radar Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and related STEM fields to apply. This position requires up to 100% on-site work.

How You Will Make a Difference

Lead the development of RF sensors for advanced systems used by the U.S. military, including radars for various platforms and surveillance missions. Support the integration and verification of the most advanced EW system deployed on a Naval platform. Your activities will include data analysis, tool development, mentoring, and presenting analysis results.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) as an individual contributor and task lead on the RF Analysis team.
  • Develop data analysis products to support system integration and testing for the Navy.
  • Analyze test data, develop analysis tools, mentor junior engineers, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical principles, solve complex problems, and guide project development.
  • Serve as a liaison and advisor on technical research and applications.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 10+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 6+ years.
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing and algorithm development.
  • Design, integration, and testing experience with EW or Radar systems; hands-on data analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB for RF data analysis at the I/Q level.
  • Leadership experience in small teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and present analytical reports.
  • Willingness to work 100% onsite in Baltimore/Linthicum.
  • US Citizenship and Secret clearance required prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing EW test data and the EW kill chain.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or C++.
