Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Colorado Springs seeks a Staff Systems Engineer – Systems Analyst to support the U.S. President, DoD leaders, and combatant commands with C2BMC software verification, validation, and performance analysis.

The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary investigations, mentor junior staff, and establish best practices for data analytics and model-based systems engineering, while coordinating with acquisition milestones on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with extensive experience; or master’s with more experience; or PhD with relevant work.
• Active DoD Secret clearance at application time; ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
• Progressive experience in systems analysis, software verification, or model-based analysis of defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the analytical roadmap for C2BMC software verification and performance.
• Lead root-cause investigations into software behavior and sensor/weapon integration issues.
• Develop corrective action plans and monitor progress.
• Serve as liaison among engineers, DoD leaders, test ranges, and partners.
• Facilitate technical reviews and decision forums.
• Mentor junior analysts and software engineers.
• Establish best-practice standards for data analytics and reproducible research.
• Coordinate analysis with missile defense milestones.
• Contribute to Integrated Product Teams and capture risk metrics.
