Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead end-to-end development for autonomous defense systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and architecture for complex software and hardware integrations.

You will design, develop, and maintain components, perform thorough testing, and ensure reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance, working closely with hardware engineers and product managers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-grad industry experience in systems/engineering fields.
• Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks in a common language (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and to work onsite at Costa Mesa, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead development for an end to end solution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and system architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems context
• Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
• Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of post-grad industry experience, including but not limited to electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering
• A passion for systems design development, integration, and test
• Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience
• Experience developing automated test scrips and frameworks using a common language (eg. Python, MATLAB, etc)
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for test planning and execution,and excitement to work onsite at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA the rest of the time!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Already hold a U.S. Secret security clearance, or higher
• Hands on experience with complex robotic systems
• Familiarity with IP-Based networks
• Experience with mission systems, including communications systems and components
• Familiarity with aviation airworthiness considerations

US Salary Range

$191,000 — $253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
