Job summary

Solidus Technical Solutions in Aurora, CO is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to provide enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. The role requires an active TS/SCI with poly.

You will manage projects with minimal oversight, work in a SCIF environment with flexible hours, and collaborate with government stakeholders and contractors to implement customer integrations and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
• 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Systems Engineering, including installation, integration and test support.
• Experience with Engineering technical and project management.
• Experience with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor).
• Active TS/SCI CI Poly required.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through system transition.
• Communicate with program, other contractors and government stakeholders to influence policies, procedures and practices.
• Manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to enable informed decisions on installation, integration checkout and testing of system modifications and upgrades.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position requires onsite work in Aurora, CO and an active TS/SCI w/POLY security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer, providing enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. This position manages projects or processes with minimal oversight and provides measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices.

Day in the Life:

• Provide systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through system transition
• Communicate with many levels of program, other contractors and government stakeholders and works to positively influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures and practices
• Manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout and test of operational system modifications and upgrades
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
• 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience
• Experience with Systems Engineering, to include installation, integration and test support
• Experience with Engineering technical and project management
• Experience with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor.)
• Experience with Request For Change (RFC) impact reviews and assessment experience
• An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly
• Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experienced with Customer NSIS and/or rapid delivery methods
• Experience with strong customer relationships
• Experience working across contract and location boundaries
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and MBSE/CAMEO beneficial
• Programming/Scripting languages (C++, Java, Python, etc.) preferred, but not required

Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.

Full benefits: $137,000 to $172,000 annually

Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision): Up to $185,000 annually
