Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior systems architect to design and evolve DoD C2/battle management solutions. You will lead design efforts, modernize legacy platforms, and present architectural roadmaps to diverse stakeholders.

A strong background in DoDAF/MODAF/TOGAF and a current DoD 8140 IAT II certification with an active Secret clearance are essential. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SWE, SE, math, physics or related field with 12+ years of experience OR a Master’s in related field with 10+ years of experience OR a PhD with 8+ years of experience.
• Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher required at application.
• Active in-scope DoD Secret security clearance required at application.
• Willingness to travel ~10% for business needs.
• Proven track record in designing and integrating complex C2 or battle management solutions.
• Strong grasp of DoDAF, MODAF or TOGAF architecture frameworks.
• Excellent written and oral communication for persuasive technical presentations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 12 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 10 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with 8 years of relevant work experience
• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
• Extensive track record of designing, developing, and integrating complex command and control or battle management solutions
• Solid grasp of systems architecture, using frameworks like DoDAF, MODAF , or TOGAF
• Strong written and oral communication abilities; adept at delivering clear and persuasive technical presentations
