Job summary

val's services is seeking a Software & Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain complex hardware/software solutions in a DoD environment. The role focuses on modern DevSecOps, Systems Engineering principles, and project management.

The ideal candidate has extensive DoD experience, TS/SCI, and strong scripting and automation skills across Linux and virtualization. This position requires coordination with vendors and stakeholders to meet security and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with extensive experience (12-14+ years) in systems engineering, cybersecurity, and DoD environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g., CISSP).
• Expertise in Linux (RHEL), virtualization, automation tools (Ansible, Satellite), networking, and secure protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python), system integration, and development tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical teams and brief senior personnel.
