Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC is hiring a Staff Surveyor to lead large-scale land surveying projects. The role supports the Mideast team and allows remote work from anywhere in the United States with an active Ohio Professional Surveyor license.

You will work with Project Managers and other surveyors to prepare and review deliverables for pipelines, transmission lines, substations, and renewable energy facilities, delivering high-quality survey data for critical infrastructure decisions.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Land Surveyor license in Ohio.
• Experience performing professional land survey tasks efficiently.
• Strong technical skills with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Attention to detail and QA/QC experience.
• Ability to collaborate with Project Managers, surveyors and technicians and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication to explain technical requirements to clients and colleagues.
• Experience on utility, pipeline, transmission, substation or renewable projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers, professional surveyors, and project teams to plan and execute survey work within the established scope and schedule.
• Provide technical oversight and direction to survey technicians and field crews supporting large-scale land surveying projects.
• Review survey plats, drawings, and related deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Ohio surveying requirements.
• Sign and seal survey plats and drawings prepared under your responsible charge.
• Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements, provide updates, and address technical questions.
• Mentor and train survey technicians on state surveying requirements, technical practices, and QA/QC procedures.
• Support additional project and team needs as assigned.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Staff Surveyor to join our Mideast team and help lead large-scale land surveying projects. This position can work remotely from anywhere in the United States. An active Ohio Professional Surveyor license is required, but Ohio residency is not.

This role focuses on the technical aspects of surveying and delivering accurate, high-quality survey products. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and other professional surveyors to prepare and review deliverables for pipelines, transmission lines, substations, renewable energy facilities, and large-scale utility programs. Your work will provide the reliable survey data clients need to make critical infrastructure decisions.
